SWA&ABPC Inc. Bylaws 2015/16 Rule:27. End Of Year High Point To be eligible for the SWA&ABPC Inc. annual High Point the entrant must be a full member of the SWA&ABPC Inc., have competed at a minimum of 50% of shows consisting of club & sponsored shows during that point scoring year and must have competed in said sections at each show and obtain a minimum of 5 points at the end of the club year to qualify for said section award. Point will be calculated 4,3,2,1 system. If 4 or more are in the class 4 points for 1st; 3 points for 2nd; 2 points for 3rd; 1 point for 4th. If 3 in the class 3 points for 1st; 2 points for 2nd; 1 point for 3rd. If 2 in the class 2 points for 1st; 1 point for 2nd. If 1 in the class -1 point for 1st. Tie breakers as per AQHA rule book. ( To Qualify for EOY HP Awards the competitor must have attended a minimum of 2 of the four shows held to qualify which equates to the required 50% of shows held) In addition to Rule 27. The AQHA Rule 61.8, 61.9 and 62.13 e) must be adhered to for both Amateurs and Youths. AQHA RULE 61.8 Amateurs may exhibit two (2) horses in individually judged classes. However, with regard to high point awards at approved shows the Amateur may nominate a maximum of two (2) horses that will count toward the High Point Amateur of that show. Nominations must be in the Secretary's hand prior to closing date of entries. AQHA RULE 61.9 Only the highest placing horse in that Amateur class will be given points towards high point awards at any approved show and end-of-year awards when an individual places twice in the one event. AQHA RULE 62.13 e) Only the highest placing in youth classes will be given points toward high Point awards at any approved show and end of year awards when an individual places twice in the same event. AAA Rule 11.3 Youth Rules (I)Youth competing in 13 & under Walk Trot classes can compete with one or two hands on the reins irrespective of the age of the horse. (Competitors in this category cannot compete in any other ridden or lead event) a) Spurs are optional in this age group. i)Western classes; spurs must be of western style with a blunt end, ball or small blunt rowel with shank pointing only to the rear and no longer than 3.5cmii) English classes; spurs must be English style spurs blunt or ball ended with shank pointing only to the rear and no longer than 3.5cm b)The Trail gate is optional in this age group, only at the discretion of the judge (m)Youth (ASSISTED Showmanship & ) Leadline 10 yrs & under –Western or English attire is optional and the same style must be worn by handler and rider. The handler must be an adult over 18 years of age. The English halter or Western halterused by the handler is fitted under the bridle. (Youths competing in the Assisted Showmanship and or the Leadline Ridden 10yrs & under cannot compete in any other classes on the day) ** To Qualify for EOY HP Awards the competitor must have attended a minimum of 2 of the four shows held to qualify which equates to the required 50% of shows held. |
