ABOUT US
The South Western Appaloosa & All Breeds Performance Club Inc. (SWA&ABPC Inc.) was first established in September 2010 to provide an environment in which aids and promotes Appaloosa owners, and owners of all breeds of horses, to show their horses to the highest standard, in all aspects of horsemanship catering to the South West Region of NSW, Australia. The 2014/15 season will be our fifth show season since formed. To date our membership is mainly made up of Amateur Owners and Improvers with the addition of a few trainers and breeders from the south western region and far beyond.
Our regular club program caters for all breeds with events including halter, showmanship, hacking, hunter under saddle, western pleasure, western riding, trail and reining. We also offer Show Day High Point Awards to all whom compete on show day, and for full Financial SWA&ABPC Inc. members we also offer End of Year High Point Awards to those who have competed throughout the year. At different times of the year, the club will also be hosting clinics with some of Australia's and America's TOP Trainers in western horsemanship; with the foundations used being applicable in virtually any equine discipline.
We have recently undergone a huge town project with other local non profit organisations and re developed the Grenfell showground. We have helped provide the town with a brand NEW 80x50 metre panelled sand arena which includes a warm up pen. We are also looking into renovating stable blocks, yards and the existing round yards to ensure a safe and comfortable experience by all our visiting equine friends. The camping facilities at the Grenfell Showground are fantastic and are continually being redeveloped.
We aim to continue to grow our small but very successful club promoting the Appaloosa Horse and other western bred horses in a friendly yet competitive environment for Improvers to top level Trainers and competitors into the 2014/15 season and long into the future. So become a member and start your South Western Experience Today!
